The Indiana Pacers rolled past the Oklahoma City Thunder 108-91 in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Thursday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse! Six players scored in double digits as Pascal Siakam posted 16 points and 13 rebounds to help propel the Pacers to a win and force a Game 7.
It was a complete performance as the Pacers forced 21 turnovers and allowed a season-low 91 points to keep the season alive. Indiana used a dominant 30-9 run to end the second quarter as they took a 64-42 lead into halftime after Siakam threw down a thunderous poster dunk.
Despite entering the series as heavy underdogs, the Pacers are now just one win away from capturing the first NBA championship in franchise history. Tyrese Haliburton put up 14 points and five assists in the win, while Obi Toppin totaled 20 points and six rebounds off the bench.
With both teams just one win away from being crowned world champions, Game 7 is set for Sunday at 8:00 PM in Oklahoma City. The most recent Game 7 in the NBA Finals occurred in 2016 and the upcoming matchup will be just the fifth Game 7 in the NBA Finals this century!
"As a basketball fan, there's nothing like a Game 7 in the NBA Finals. I've dreamed of being in this situation my whole life so to be here is really exciting," Haliburton said in the postgame press conference. "We worked our tails off to get here so we just have to trust the work we put in."
