The No. 18 Purdue Boilermakers used a game-sealing run in the final minutes to eventually pull away from the UCLA Bruins 73-66 in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals and reach the title game for the first time since 2023 at the United Center on Saturday.
UCLA trailed for most of the game before coming back to tie it 60-60 with 4:33 left but the Boilermakers quickly answered with a 13-6 run of their own to help seal the victory as center Oscar Cluff came up clutch with a game-high 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Purdue was struggling in the final weeks of the regular season but Matt Painter's team has rediscovered their confidence in the Big Ten Tournament, and will attempt to upset the No. 3 Michigan Wolverines to take home the third tournament title in program history.
