Dive into our NFL preview from Charles Post, Caleb Henderson, Raven Martín, and Tyler Taylor!
Top-5 Teams:
1. Kansas City Chiefs
2. Baltimore Ravens
3. New Orleans Saints
4. San Francisco 49ers
5. Seattle Seahawks
The Kansas City Chiefs come into the season as defending champions for the first time this century and you can tell they have their sights set on a second consecutive title. Patrick Mahomes and Clyde Edward-Helaire combined for 349 yards and four scores in a Week 1 win over the Houston Texans. Baltimore will look to bounce back from their Divisional Round loss to Tennessee, while the Saints are hoping to give Drew Brees one last shot at title. The third and fourth ranked teams are both in the NFC West: the 49ers and Seahawks. San Fran brings back Jimmy Garoppolo, George Kittle, and Raheem Mostert on offense, and will lean on Nick Bosa on defense. Meanwhile, Seattle now has a defensive star in Jamal Adams to match Russell Wilson.

MVP Candidates:
1. Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs)
2. Lamar Jackson (Ravens)
3. Russell Wilson (Seahawks)
4. Michael Thomas (Saints)
5. Nick Bosa (49ers)
Mahomes leads the way at the top of the MVP leader board after throwing for 211 yards and three passing touchdowns on 24/32 passing against Houston. He was the best player on the field and it's obvious that his connection with Edwards-Helaire is strong. The defending MVP, Lamar Jackson, comes in second and will make his 2020 debut on Sunday, September 13 against the Cleveland Browns. Russell Wilson is the only other quarterback on the list at third and he should have a great year with weapons like Phillip Dorsett, Carlos Hyde, Tyler Lockett, and DK Metcalf. The last two spots go to Michael Thomas and Nick Bosa. Thomas had 1,725 receiving yards last season while Bosa totaled 47 tackles and 9.0 sacks a year ago.
