The New York Knicks clinched a berth in the 2026 NBA Finals by blowing past the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-0 in the Eastern Conference Finals, advancing to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999!
Following decades of disappointment, the Knicks are now on the verge of capturing the franchise's third championship — first since 1973 — and putting an end to one of the NBA's longest droughts.
New York has been unstoppable in recent weeks, putting together an 11-game win streak and posting a dominant 19.4-point differential on the postseason, powered by Jalen Brunson and company.
Brunson is the clear-cut catalyst, but the Knicks have plenty of depth and talent as Karl-Anthony Towns, O.G. Anunoby, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart create a balanced team on both ends of the floor.
The Knicks will now take on the San Antonio Spurs in a rematch of the 1999 NBA Finals and the 2025 NBA Cup Final. New York took down San Antonio 124-113 to win the NBA Cup in December.
