The Detroit Pistons stormed back from 24-point deficit in the third quarter to complete the franchise's largest playoff comeback in an improbable 93-79 win over the Orlando Magic to tie the opening round series and force a Game 7 at the Kia Center on Friday.
Detroit trailed 62-38 in the second half before staging a 34-4 run, holding Orlando without a field goal for the first nine minutes of the fourth quarter. The Pistons forced 23 straight missed shots and outscored the Magic 31-8 in a truly unforgettable fourth quarter.
It was also the largest comeback on the road in an elimination game in league history. "Never say die. It’s as simple as that," Cade Cunningham, who scored a game-high 32 points including a 19-point fourth quarter, said following the historic comeback win.
