Week 1 was the best opening weekend in college football history and it lived up to the bill; No. 1 Alabama annihilated No. 20 USC 52-6, No. 2 Clemson sneaked past Auburn 19-13, No. 4 Florida State stormed back after trailing 28-3 to beat No. 11 Ole Miss 45-34, and No. 15 Houston shocked No. 3 Oklahoma 33-23.
Lastly, Texas returned to the college football world with a double overtime victory over No. 10 Notre Dame. There were so many good games, as we saw two top-five teams and seven top-25 teams fall in their first game.
