The Toledo Rockets rolled past the Eastern Michigan Eagles 94-75 to move to 14-13 and clinch a berth in the MAC Tournament at Savage Arena on Saturday! Toledo guard Leroy Blyden Jr. compiled a team-high 15 points and eight assists in the blowout win.
Blyden Jr. is among the leading candidates for 2026 MAC Freshman of the Year, and his talent was on full display as he fueled the Rockets. Toledo was also led by guard Sonny Wilson scoring 15 points, and center Austin Parks adding 10 points and six rebounds.
After jumping out to a 19-9 lead in the early stages, the Rockets took a 51-29 lead into halftime and eventually cruised to a 94-75 win. Toledo improved to 14-13 and 8-6 in MAC play, securing a spot in the 2026 MAC Tournament in Cleveland next month.
"Our defense really fueled our offense. I’m very proud of our effort," Toledo head coach Tod Kowalczyk said. "We were bringing energy, getting stops and getting out in transition," Blyden Jr. added. Toledo is now 9-1 in the last 10 games against Eastern Michigan.
