NFL: Bills blast Chiefs in AFC championship rematch
The Buffalo Bills (4-1) blew out the Kansas City Chiefs (2-3) at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Sunday night in a rematch of the 2021 AFC Championship Game. After losing by two touchdowns a year ago, Buffalo got revenge with an impressive 38-20 victory to stay atop the conference. Josh Allen put his playmaking on display, throwing for 315 yards and three touchdowns in addition to 5.4 yards per carry and one rushing touchdown. Meanwhile, the Chiefs have lost three of four games and remain last place in the division. Andy Reid's team has the second worst turnover margin (-7) in the league.
Patrick Mahomes struggled to take care of the ball, throwing for 272 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in the blowout loss. Buffalo was able to limit Tyreek Hill, eliminating the deep pass with a high safety. Hill had 172 yards on nine receptions in the matchup in January. Mecole Hardman had a team-high 76 receiving yards for the Chiefs this time around. Tremaine Edmunds and Gregory Rousseau were all over the place defensively, while Micah Hyde added a pick six in the fourth quarter. The Bills look like AFC favorites right now and will look to improve to 5-1 against the Tennessee Titans on Monday night.
