MLB: 2021 World Series preview, predictions
The 2021 World Series gets going on Tuesday, Oct. 26 as the Houston Astros (95-67) host the Atlanta Braves (88-73) as Framber Valdez and Charlie Morton are projected to start on the mound. After five consecutive ALCS appearances, the Astros are hoping to win a second championship in that span. Houston reached the World Series in 2017 and 2019. Even though they were one win from the World Series a year ago, the Braves haven't made this deep of a run since 1999. Max Fried, Freddie Freeman and Eddie Rosario (.465, 3 HR) have led Atlanta, while Houston has relied on Yordan Alvarez (.432, 2 HR) and Carlos Correa. It's close to an evenly matched series but I'm picking the Astros to clinch a second World Series title.
