Michigan State Spartans roll past Toledo Rockets 92-69 to move to 10-1 behind Jaxon Kohler's 16-point double-double

The Michigan State Spartans rolled past the Toledo Rockets 92-69 to improve to 10-1 at the Breslin Center on Tuesday! Michigan State forward Jaxon Kohler led the charge with a team-best 16-point, 13-rebound double-double, while guard Jeremy Fears Jr. compiled 15 points and a game-high eight assists in the win.
Michigan State jumped out to a double-digit lead in the early stages and took a 58-28 advantage into halftime before eventually coasting to a double-digit win over Toledo, highlighted by forward Coen Carr throwing down a pair of fastbreak poster dunks en route to finishing with 12 points and four rebounds.
The Spartans were dominant around the rim, holding a significant edge in points in the paint (40-20), rebounds (51-21) and blocks (7-2). Michigan State continues to look like a legitimate Big Ten contender, improving to 10-1 with wins over ranked opponents Arkansas, Kentucky, Iowa and North Carolina.
"It was a pretty damn good first half," Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo said. "We'll take the win. Outrebounding them by 30 was big. All in all, when you're up 30 points, it takes a self-driven human being to stay focused on the task at hand. We showed some immaturity and so we'll have to get better at it."
