Miami Redhawks look to remain nation's only unbeaten team in battle at Western Michigan Broncos with perfect season on the horizon

The No. 21 Miami Redhawks take an unbeaten 28-0 record into a road matchup at the Western Michigan Broncos at University Arena on Friday! Miami is the only undefeated team remaining in the nation and is just three wins away from completing the first-ever unbeaten regular season in MAC history.

Travis Steele’s team is in the midst of a historic season, completely shattering conference and school records along the way, but there is still work to be done with three games left in the regular season. Miami can’t afford to overlook Western Michigan, who will look to pull off an unforgettable upset at home.

Miami enters the game with a 28-0 record and 15-0 in conference play, led by MAC Player of the Year candidate Peter Suder (14.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game), guard Brant Byers, forward Eian Elmer (12.1 points and 6.0 rebounds per game), as well as Rutgers transfer forward Antwone Woolfolk.

Western Michigan comes into the game with a 10-18 record and 4-11 in MAC play. Despite sitting near the bottom of the standings, the Broncos have a talented team including LSU transfer guard Justice Williams (team-high 14.9 points per game), forward EJ Ryans, and guards Jayden Brewer and Jalen Griffith.

Miami is a 12.5-point favorite over Western Michigan with the over/under projected at 161.5 total points according to FanDuel. The Redhawks lead the MAC with 91.6 points per game so it will likely be a long night for the Broncos, but we've certainly seen crazier things have happen in college basketball.
