CFB: LSU looks to upset the Tide on road
#1 LSU (8-0, 4-0) meets #2 Alabama (8-0, 5-0) in a game that looks eerily similar to 2011 on the surface, but couldn't be more different when you take a step back. Both teams were defensive juggernauts earlier in the decade, who relied on their strong rushing attacks. This time around, the Tigers come in with Heisman favorite Joe Burrow at quarterback. Burrow has 2,805 yards, 30 touchdowns, and just four interceptions. Tua Tagovailoa, on the other hand, has compiled 2,166 yards, 27 touchdowns, and two picks. If Tagovailoa is completely healthy, then I think Alabama should be considered the favorites, but he missed the Crimson Tide's last game and might not be 100%. The team that can get the most stops will likely come out on top and Alabama gives up 4.7 points less than LSU does.
Players to watch:
1. Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama)
2. Joe Burrow (LSU)
3. Jerry Jeudy (Alabama)
4. Grant Delpit (LSU)
5. Anfernee Jennings (Alabama)
Staff picks:
Caleb Henderson: LSU
Charles Post: Alabama
Chinedum Wejinya: LSU
Raven Martin: Alabama
Tyler Taylor: Alabama
