CFB: Oklahoma must take care of Texas
#6 Oklahoma (5-0, 2-0) comes into the Red River Showdown versus #11 Texas (4-1, 2-0) with aspirations of reaching their third consecutive College Football Playoff. If they lose, their path becomes a bit more clouded. Texas, who went 10-4 last year and won the Sugar Bowl, is still in the phase where winning 10+ games is considered a success, while the Sooners are Big 12 title and CFP berth or bust. This game has two of the best quarterbacks in the entire country with Jalen Hurts (1,523 yards, 14 touchdowns) going up against Sam Ehlinger (1,448 yards, 17 touchdowns), but the game doesn't end there. The defenses are going to be a huge factor and whoever can win the turnover battle and force red zone field goals will win this game. Texas gives up 26.6 points, compared to Oklahoma's 19.0 per game.
