The Wasatch Academy Tigers rolled past the IMG Academy Ascenders 75-57 in the Chipotle Nationals first round on Wednesday night at Hamilton Southeastern High School in Indiana! Led by Houston commit 2025 5-star guard Isiah Harwell finishing with 15 points and four steals, the Tigers knocked down 10 3-pointers and forced 20 turnovers on the way to taking down IMG Academy to move to 26-4 and clinch a berth in the quarterfinals.

Despite allowing Arkansas commit 2025 5-star guard Darius Acuff Jr. to go off for a game-high 23 points, five assists and two steals, Wasatch Academy used a balanced outing to eliminate the Ascenders. IMG Academy had no other double-figure scorers besides Acuff. New Mexico State commit 2025 3-star center Augustine Ekwe recorded 10 points and eight rebounds, while 2026 3-star guard Mariano Manciel posted a team-high 17 points in win.

IMG Academy tied the game 34-34 with 3:48 left in the third quarter before the Tigers went on a 17-3 run, then Harwell scored five straight points to open the fourth quarter and pull away. Wasatch Academy is advancing to play the top seeded Columbus High School Explorers in the quarterfinals as they look to reach the Chipotle Nationals semifinals for the first time in school history, while IMG Academy finishes the season with a 21-8 record.
