The No. 2 UConn Huskies outlasted the No. 3 Illinois Fighting Illini 71-62 in the Final Four, reaching the national championship for the third time in the last four years at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday!
UConn center Tarris Reed Jr. continued his dominant play in the NCAA Tournament, posting a team-high 17 points and 11 rebounds to help fuel the Huskies to a win and move onto the national title game.
After hitting a last-second game-winning shot to propel the Huskies into the Final Four last week, Uconn guard Braylon Mullins finished with 15 points including a clutch game-sealing 3-pointer in the final minute.
"There's nothing like the bus ride on Monday night over to the stadium when you're one of the last two teams standing," UConn head coach Dan Hurley told the media after clinching a berth in the final.
