Detroit Tigers star pitcher Tarik Skubal is in the midst of a historic campaign and is on pace to become the 10th pitcher in MLB history to take home back to back Cy Young awards. Skubal has an AL-best 11-3 record, 2.18 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 181 strikeouts prior to facing the Los Angeles Angels on Friday night!
Skubal emerged as one of the MLB’s premier pitchers last year, leading the league in strikeouts and winning the Triple Crown en route to earning AL Cy Young. Now, Skubal is looking to join elite company as the 10th player to win the award in consecutive seasons and the first since Clayton Kershaw in 2014.
