Tampa Bay Rays continue to look like legitimate World Series contenders as 2026 MLB playoffs approach

The Tampa Bay Rays continue to look like legitimate contenders to win the World Series with the 2026 MLB playoffs on the horizon! Tampa Bay doesn’t receive nearly the same amount of attention that the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees, but the Rays have everything it takes to win it all.
From possessing one of the MLB's premier pitching rotations to elite fielding and hitting, Tampa Bay truly has it all and could reach the World Series for the third time in franchise history. The Rays reached the World Series in 2008 and 2020, but are still searching for the franchise's first-ever title.
Nick Martinez and Drew Rasmussen have created a seemingly unhittable tandem, combining for a 27-9 record and 2.94 ERA this season. Tampa Bay has the depth, experience and talent to compete for a championship so don't be surprised if the Rays are eventually the last team standing in October!
