Victor Wembanyama showcases dynamic skillset in Summer League
After struggling to find an offensive rhythm during his NBA Summer League debut last week, San Antonio Spurs star rookie Victor Wembanyama rebounded with an electric performance that included a game-high 27 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks in a narrow loss in Las Vegas on Sunday night!
Prior to being shut down for the rest of the summer, Wembanyama showcased his dynamic skillset including an intriguing ability to score from all three levels and protect the paint at a high level. The top overall pick averaged 18.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in a pair of Summer League outings.
Wembanyama racked up nine points, eight rebounds and five blocks in a 76-68 win over the Charlotte Hornets during his debut on Friday evening before dominating against the Portland Trail Blazers to cap off the weekend. Stay tuned for coverage throughout the Summer League as pool play nears an end.
