The Michigan Wolverines were ranked No. 1 in the AP Poll for the first time since 2013 and the fifth time in school history! Dusty May's team is 24-1 and 14-1 in Big Ten play, which is the best start in program history as Michigan sits atop the conference standings with three weeks left in the regular season.

"It means absolutely nothing right now," May told the media after Michigan moved to No. 1 in the AP Poll. "It's awesome for our fans, the energy and intensity that it brings to the games, and being able to do cool things like College Game Day, but as far as internally or for me emotionally, it doesn't mean anything."

Michigan certainly deserves to be the top ranked team in the nation but matchups against the No. 7 Purdue Boilermakers and No. 3 Duke Blue Devils this week will go a long way in determining if the Wolverines win the Big Ten regular season title and eventually earn the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
