The No. 2 Michigan Wolverines meet the Ohio State Buckeyes in a pivotal matchup between Big Ten rivals at Value City Arena on Sunday! Michigan set a school record with a 21-1 start to the season and currently sit atop the Big Ten standings with an 11-1 record.
“That’s a heck of an honor. It's not our ultimate goal but it's cool to be setting new standards and bars," Michigan head coach Dusty May told the media following a 110-69 win over the Penn State Nittany Lions to clinch the best start in program history.
Both teams have a lot to play for — the Wolverines are hoping to sweep the rival Buckeyes and remain atop the Big Ten with the season winding down, while Ohio State is attempting to pick up a marquee victory and bolster their NCAA Tournament résumé.
Michigan outlasted Ohio State 74-62 last month as Yaxel Lendeborg, Aday Mara and Morez Johnson Jr. compiled 41 points, 22 rebounds, and five blocks. The Wolverines are 10.5-point favorites at Ohio State with the over/under set at 161.5 total points.
