The Miami Redhawks take an undefeated 13-0 record into a road matchup at the MAC rival Bowling Green Falcons on Tuesday at the Stroh Center. Miami is one of the NCAA's six teams to still be unbeaten at this point in the season, but Bowling Green will provide a major challenge and could pull off an upset.
Both teams are considered conference title contenders as Miami scores a MAC-best 95.1 points per game, while Bowling Green leads the MAC with 64.4 points allowed per game. Bowling Green is a 5.5-point favorite over Miami with the over/under projected at 151.5 total points per FanDuel Sportsbook.
Miami comes into the road trip with a 13-0 record including previous wins over Air Force, Ball State and Eastern Kentucky. The Redhawks are led by forward Brant Byers (team-high 14.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game), guards Evan Ipsaro and Peter Suder, and Rutgers transfer forward Antwone Woolfolk.
Bowling Green enters the matchup with a 10-3 record including by impressive wins over Kansas State, Ohio and Texas State. The Falcons are fueled by guards Javontae Campbell (team-best 15.5 points per game) and Josiah Shackelford, and transfer forwards Javon Ruffin (Colorado) and Sam Towns (Ohio).
The Redhawks will try to pick up a road win and remain one of the nation's six teams to be undefeated, along with the top ranked Arizona Wildcats (13-0), Michigan Wolverines (12-0) and Iowa State Cyclones (13-0), as well as the Vanderbilt Commodores (13-0) and Nebraska Cornhuskers (12-0).
