The Louisville Cardinals routed the Kentucky Wildcats 82-62 in the 2026 TBT at Freedom Hall on Monday behind Montrezl Harrell's franchise-record 35 points and eight rebounds to propel The Ville over La Familia in the latest edition of The Battle of the Bluegrass!

It appeared the in-state rivalry was going to be a back and forth affair, similar to La Familia's 72-68 win in Game 1 last week, but The Ville went on a 15-0 run to turn a first quarter deficit into a 36-22 lead at halftime and eventually cruise to a series-tying triumph.

Harrell was simply unstoppable — erupting for the fourth most points in TBT history, highlighted by a frantic sequence that included a filthy poster slam from Alex Matthews, followed by a rim-shaking fastbreak dunk by Harrell to send Freedom Hall into a frenzy.

"I'm a strong believer in the work I put into my game. I would rather die on my work and just know what I brought to this game, than sell myself short. At the end of the day, I'm going to live and die with the work that I put into this game," Harrell told the media.

Now, the alumni teams are set to square off with a spot in the quarterfinals at stake in a decisive Game 3 in Lexington on Wednesday. Both teams are looking to take down their in-state rival and take one step closer to taking home the $2 million grand prize.
