The Detroit Cass Tech Technicians destroyed the Michigan City Wolves 62-0 in a dominant shutout performance in the 2026 Amazon Prep Kickoff Classic at Tom Adams Field on Friday!
Detroit Cass Tech jumped ahead 7-0 with a 51-yard touchdown by 2028 3-star running back Julian Taylor, followed by 2028 5-star quarterback and Texas A&M commit Donald Tabron getting into the mix.
Tabron connected with 2029 3-star wide receiver Peyton Robinson for a 48-yard touchdown, before finding 2028 4-star wide receiver Mylan Griggs for a spectacular, contested 20-yard touchdown!
Robinson added to his impressive outing with an elusive and explosive 62-yard punt return touchdown, breaking several tackles on his way to the end zone, extending the lead to 35-0 in the first half.
The Technicians came up just short of winning the state championship last season and it certainly appears that Detroit Cass Tech is on a mission to win the program's second state title in the last three years.
