Aldrich Potgieter wins 2025 Rocket Mortgage Classic playoff to capture first PGA Tour triumph

Aldrich Potgieter won the 2025 Rocket Mortgage Classic at the Detroit Golf Club, defeating Max Greyserman in a historic playoff! The 20-year-old South African became the youngest golfer to win the Rocket Mortgage Classic as he captured the first PGA Tour triumph of his career.
After coming into the final round atop the leaderboard, Potgieter finished with an impressive score of 22-under before eventually fending off Greyserman and Chris Kirk in five playoff holes, sinking a clutch birdie putt on the 15th hole to cap off a memorable win in the Motor City.
“I struggled to make putts but I finally got one to the hole. Just saw the ball roll over and knew it was going to go in," Potgieter explained to CBS following the win. "Big thanks to everyone that has been involved to help me get to this point. I’m just happy to walk away as a winner.”
