NBA: Season to resume on July 30
It's official. The NBA season will resume on Thursday, July 30 after the owners approved a revised schedule on Thursday, June 4. In all, 22 teams will play an eight-game schedule to finalize the regular season. The current 16 playoff teams, plus the Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, Phoenix Suns, and Washington Wizards will head to Orlando's Wide World of Sports Complex to participate. There will also be a play-in tournament between the 8th and 9th seeds in each conference if they are within four games of one another. Other notable dates include the draft lottery on August 25, Game 7 of the NBA Finals on October 12, and the NBA Draft on October 15. The NBA will have gone 141 days without a game being played by the time the season resumes on July 30.
