NFL: Hyde signs with Seahawks

Carlos Hyde has signed with Seattle Seahawks, after spending last season with the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans. The 29-year-old running back ran for 1,070 rushing yards and six touchdowns last year, also averaging a solid 4.4 yards per carry. Hyde could see a lot of carries to begin the season as Rashaad Penny likely won’t be ready to go after tearing his ACL in 2019. Chris Carson, Seattle’s other running back, will split carries with Hyde. The former Ohio State running back will play alongside Russell Wilson, after spending last year with other premier quarterbacks Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes. The Seahawks went 11-5 last season and will look to improve on that after bringing in Hyde, who had shoulder surgery last week according to Pro Football Talk.
