NBA: Killian Hayes' introduction
Killian Hayes, for now, is an under-the-radar point guard from France. The 18-year-old is entering the 2020 NBA Draft and will likely be selected in the lottery, which will make him a household name in just a couple of months. Hayes won a gold medal and MVP with France in the 2017 FIBA U-16 European Championship, before helping his team win a silver medal in the 2018 U-17 World Cup. He then signed with Ratiopharm Ulm in Germany last August and debuted with 15 points, six assists, and six rebounds. Hayes went onto average 12.8 points and 6.2 assists on 45/39/90 splits in 26.8 minutes per game. The 6'5 point guard reminds me a lot of D'Angelo Russell because of his patience, polished offensive game, and vision. In our Mock Draft Vol. 2, we have the Charlotte Hornets taking Hayes with the #8 overall pick.
