NBA: Daishen Nix to join G-League
Daishen Nix, a 5-star point guard out of Las Vegas, has decided to join the NBA's Pathway Program and the G-League instead of attending UCLA next season. According to 247 Sports, Nix is the #11 senior and the #1 player in the state of Nevada. He announced his decision on Tuesday, April 28 and is the third high level recruit to turn down the college route, alongside Jalen Green (#3) and Isaiah Todd (#14). Green was expected to sign with either Auburn or Memphis, while Todd committed to Michigan before changing his mind. However, Nix is the first player to decommit and go pro after signing a letter of intent with the Bruins. The 6'5 point guard also had offers from Arizona, Kansas, Maryland, and others. Nix will play in the G-League during the 2020-21 season and will be eligible for the 2021 NBA Draft.
