NFL: Saints sign Emmanuel Sanders

The New Orleans Saints have signed 33-year-old wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders to a two-year contract. Sanders had 869 yards and five touchdowns last season, split between the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers. Sanders has compiled 8,000 receiving yards during his career and has a chance to add a true deep threat to a Saints team that has been relying way too much on Michael Thomas over the last few years. Thomas is one of the best wideouts in the league but he can't be the only major target for Drew Brees going forward. Sanders should be able to help out a bit if he can stay healthy. He has played in the Super Bowl for three different teams and the two-time Pro Bowler will try to get back for a second straight year if New Orleans can break through the NFC.
