NBA: Where Should Lebron Go?

The King Will Keep His Throne (By Chase Zayac): Lebron James made a huge mistake in the eyes of many in 2010. He left his home to go win championships in Miami, which he did so successfully, but only twice. Not three, not four, not five, not six, not seven, but two (which is still remarkable). Perhaps his most treasured was not one of those two. It was the chase down block and sealing the game at the free-throw line performance in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals over the greatest regular season team of all-time, the 73-win Golden State Warriors. All was forgiven when The King came home the first time around and it certainly was sealed when he delivered Cleveland their first championship since the 1960's. So all that being said why we Lebron leave where he grew up, called home, and built his legacy again? The answer is he wouldn't. He's learned and he is a more seasoned and mature player now. Lebron is the greatest of all time and he will finish where he started.

Lebron Will Leave For the West (By Charles Post): If James decides that he wants to leave this summer, there aren't a ton of Eastern Conference teams that would be better than the Warriors, even with the addition of one of the best to ever play the game. So he'd have to seriously consider taking off for the Western Conference, for the first time in his career. The most notable options would be the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angles Clippers, Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, and Oklahoma City Thunder. The Lakers and Clippers, while it would be thrilling to watch James play alongside Lonzo Ball and Blake Griffin, neither team would be able to compete with the Warriors (who would be in their division). Even if the Lakers were able to add Paul George, too. But then we get into more of the competitive teams. If James were to sign with the Rockets, they would have an outside, but more realistic shot, at dethroning the Warriors. Chris Paul, James Harden, Trevor Ariza, James, and Clint Capela. Whew. If James goes out West, it should be to Houston.

James Stays In the East Again (By Tyler Taylor): The King shouldn't take this decision lightly because if he can go somewhere and win another championship or two before he retires, it's very realistic that he'd go down as the greatest player ever. But there aren't a ton of options in the Eastern Conference. It'd likely be narrowed down to the Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks, or Washington Wizards. Not a lot of quality teams right there. The 76ers might make the most sense though. He'd team up with Markelle Fultz, J.J. Redick, Ben Simmons, and Joel Embiid. That's a team that could possibly get to the Finals, but would they beat the Warriors? Probably not. The Knicks would be interesting since it's New York, but basketball wise, it doesn't make much sense. They don't have a lot to work with outside of Tim Hardaway Jr., Kristaps Porzingis, and a first round pick (according to Bleacher Report, it could be Michigan State's Miles Bridges). If James heads out of Cleveland for the East, Philly is really the only choice, unless he wants to rejoin the Heat?
