NFL: The Seat is Hot Enough

Attention: Martha Ford, it is time. Jim Caldwell has had enough time, talent, and opportunity to do something in Detroit. But he hasn't, he has just been all around disappointing. News flash Detroit: Making the playoffs isn't a parade-like accomplishment, and they couldn't even accomplish that this year. Jim Caldwell is lifeless on the sideline. He is emotionless and uncaring towards what happens on and off the field. And he is the rudest coach to reporters in the NFL, who are just simply trying to do their job.

He has never been successful any where he has been. He piggy backed Peyton Manning for a couple of years and when he lost him, well, his team went 2-14. With a 59-49 record in the NFL in the regular season and a 2-4 postseason record, Caldwell has been average. And in college he was horrific, posting a 26-63 record equating to a .292 win percentage. Oh and if you aren't surprised by the failure to run the ball for the Lions, you should have known coming in.

In one season at Wake Forest, his leading rusher ran for a dismal 300 yards on the season, which in the same decade Michigan running back Tim Biakabutka ran for 313 yards in just one game. The sad thing is, is that Ford loves him. She has been recorded saying in her non-knowledgable and stubborn tone of voice saying the words "I love Jim Caldwell." How pathetic is it that you're going to let your personal relationship intertwine with the head coaches performance. But hey, that's the Lions for you. Jim Caldwell should be fired. It's simple.
